The Order of the CMU of June 30, 2023 No. 587-r states about the initiation of disciplinary proceedings against the head of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management Yevhen Kramarenko.
The reasons for the disciplinary proceedings are not specified in the order, but it is known that on June 7, the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate (SNRIU) appealed to the SAUEZM and the Ministry of Ecology regarding the appointment in accordance with the order of the SAUEZM dated June 2, acting General Director of Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Serhiy Martynov, who, contrary to the General Director's job description, does not have a license from SNRIU for the right to perform organizational and administrative functions related to ensuring nuclear and radiation safety. The State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate warned that if such functions are performed without the appropriate license, it will have grounds for suspending the Licenses for the right to carry out the activities of Storage of Spent Nuclear Fuel-1 and Storage of Spent Nuclear Fuel-2.
And on June 22, a deputy of the Slavutych City Council, Dmytro Stelmakh, addressed an open letter to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and the Ministry of Ecology, from which it follows that Serhii Martynov appointed his predecessor and former head of SAUEZM Serhiy Kalashnyk, who "has a rather dubious reputation, a "rich" train of corruption scandals, as his assistant" and was accused under Article 265 of the Criminal Code "Illegal handling of radioactive materials" because he "managed to sell the ventilation pipe of the fourth power unit of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant".
